Hiatus

I’m officially announcing my hiatus. I need some time to get my head on straight so I can become a real health blogger… and because XC season and school are coming up and i’ll be too busy to go on here most likely.

Anyway, i’ll most likely come back, and when I do, the blog will be bigger and better than ever hopefully. I plan to really have this thing take off/improve it, so i’ll be back!

Oyeah, i’m a fitblr.. I should blog!

Wow I haven’t updated in a while (sorry!). I’m kind of being lazy. I’m going to stop posting my workouts because that seems to really take it out of me (I write them down in my wkout journal too, so no reason to write everything down here too lol).

Things are going better. I talked to my trainer about some stuff, over-training concerns, etc. She basically told me 5 days/week of cardio (2 hard days, 3 strength training days, 3 easy) should be good. She also said not to worry about my diet at all. So, i’ve been trying to stop counting and what not. She looks amazing, and I found out she has taco bell like 4x a week, and chocolate for breakfast… Now that’s NOT going to be me (my mom’s too much of a health nut, and I have to eat healthy-ish for other health concerns). But, I had 2 slices of pizza the other day and a small brownie, and yesterday I had a cookie AND a clif bar in the same day. Today I had honey nut joe’s o’s despite the 10g of sugar/serving! Yup, i’m bad. The eating healthy hasn’t been getting me a 6 pack, so obviously it’s not what’s going to make or break me. Moderation ftw!

As for XC… I MADE VARSITY!! (I think). But from what coach said, I did ^.^ So, i’m mad happy. It’s crazy though. I joined originally because I just was getting tired of the elliptical. I never had any intentions of getting better, let alone, making it to the top. It’s incredible how my goals have changed. Now, I WANT to be at the top. I want to improve and strive for greatness (lmao, corney). But it’s so true.

The best part about it though, is that I learned that being fit and active doesn’t have to resemble a chore. Yeah, I enjoyed working out on my own (and I still do). But, it’s even better to be with others, and i’m still getting in a great workout, as well as building friendships and having a blast. Unfortunately, I can’t really do zumba or spinning anymore (don’t want to over train) and I won’t be able to do bootcamp come the start of the season. But hey; there’s always the off season. You win some you lose some, and I gotta say, I’ve won a lot this past summer :_)

Update.

Yeah, I know I haven’t been on much. Not feeling up to it/no free time. Working on projects for school/freaking out over exercise food and nutrition as per usual.

Just went to the doctors Thursday, and apparently, I eat as much as a sedentary teenage girl. So, they said to cut back on exercise, and increase my intake to about 2600. Increasing my intake, i’m good with (just praying I don’t gain), but I don’t want to cut back. They almost wanted me to stop weight lifting, but I just said “OH HELLZ NO.” So, I’m allowed to keep doing that, but I have to cut back the running to only 5 days per week.

I looked back at my workout log to what I did in the beginning of summer, and I was doing WAY less than I am now. And, I was eating a heck of a lot more. So that says something I guess.

Probably not going to log my workouts the next few days while I adjust to being less active.
